Title: Diffraction and unitary representations on Hilbert
spaces

Abstract: In this talk we will review the diffraction of
point sets via Fourier analysis and via dynamical systems. We
introduce an equivalent approach via unitary representations on
Hilbert spaces and look at some applications.
