Department of Data Science

The Department of Data Science, founded in 2021 as part of the Bavarian High-Tech Agenda, brings together mathematics, statistics, and computer science to advance data-driven research and innovation. Working across disciplines, the Department develops analytical and computational methods to understand complex systems and tackle contemporary challenges. It offers a broad portfolio of study programmes in close collaboration with the Department of Mathematics.
